Babil Khan, the son of the late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan, wept as he accepted the Filmfare award on behalf of his late father. Irrfan Khan received Best Actor in a Leading Role and Lifetime Achievement Award for his last release ‘Angrezi Medium’.
He thanked the people of the industry for their support during the difficult times.
A video has been shared online in which a tribute was paid to the late actor Irrfan Khan at a recent Filmfare awards ceremony. His son started off his speech by saying, “I didn’t prepare a speech, but I’m really grateful that you all accepted me with open arms, and gave me so much warmth, and so much love. All I want to say is you and I are going to make this journey together.”
Irrfan Khan’s son Babil was present at the event. In this video, actor Ayushmann Khurrana shared a few words based on memories of the legendary actor Irrfan Khan. Actor Rajkummar Rao also paid a tribute to the late actor saying, “I have learned a lot from you, Irrfan sir. And we will continue to learn from you, not just me, but also future generations.”
Irrfan Khan, who played many unforgettable roles in many Bollywood hits, passed away last April after a two-year battle with cancer. In the video, Babil is seen crying with tears as Rajkummar Rao and Anurag Basu are present on stage.
