Early Life and Education
Shujaat Ali Khan was born on 23rd April, 1964 in Lahore. He gained his basic education in Lahore and completed his Senior Cambridge from Cathedral High School in 1979.
He graduated from Government F.C. College, Lahore in 1984 and received his Masters in English in 1987 from Government College, Lahore. He later joined the Punjab Law College, Lahore and obtained LLB degree in 1995.
Legal Career
He worked as an English lecturer at Aitchison College, Lahore from 1989 to 1990. He completed Executive Development Programme from Masood Institute of Professional Studies from 7th November 1992 to 17th March 1993.
Shujaat Ali Khan worked as Manager Tax and Corporate Affairs in Qadeer & Co. chartered accountant firm where he managed Tax and Corporate Affairs Department and dealt with major Private and Public Limited Companies providing registrar services.
He worked as an Advocate of the Lahore High Court in Hamid Law Associates, one of the leading law firms in Lahore, dealing with corporate, civil and banking cases for several banks and other local and multinational companies as their legal advisor.
He assisted senior lawyer and Advocate Supreme Court Zahid Hamid for the “NWFP Environmental Protection Ordinance”. The legislation provides for the protection, conservation, rehabilitation and improvement of the environment, pollution control, and promotion of sustainable development.
During the course of his legal professional career, he has conducted a large number of cases which have been reported in various law journals.
Lahore High Court
Shujaat Ali Khan enrolled as an Advocate of Lahore High Court on 12th September 1998. He later became an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on 8th November 2010.
He worked as Assistant Advocate General, Punjab from 14th February 2006 to 17th January 2012. He was later promoted as Additional Advocate General, Punjab from 17th January 2012 to 26th March 2012 before being elevated as a judge.
Shujaat Ali Khan was appointed as Additional Judge of Lahore High Court on 27th March 2012. He will retire from service on 22 April 2026.
