Motiwala is the right person for this job, as he knows the real problems the business community is faced with, he added.

Tawab said that the Ethiopian businessmen were ready to welcome the Pakistani delegation that will have meetings with the deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Ethiopia along with other high-level officials.

There is a huge potential of bilateral trade between Pakistan and Ethiopia, he said, while urging the Pakistani businessmen to join the delegation and explore the virgin market of Ethiopia, which is a gateway to Africa.

“There are a lot of business, trade and investment opportunities in Ethiopia for the Pakistani businessmen who can easily import tea, coffee, pulses and oilseeds from Ethiopia, which has a huge demand for pharmaceutical, textile products, surgical instruments, rice, chemicals, steel and cement,” Tawab noted.

He also briefed the TDAP chairman about the delegation, which would have business-to-business and business-to-government meetings, visits to industrial areas, subsidised airfare and accommodation at 5-star hotel, grand receptions and cultural events along with full support and free local transportation from the Ethiopian government.
