Friday 06th September, 2019

Famous US rapper Nicki Minaj has surprised her fans after she revealed that she is retiring from her music career to start a family.

The chart-topping singer announced on Twitter on Thursday that she “decided to retire & have my family.”

Announcement about her future plans has come as a shock after Nicki recently made a guest appearance on Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer.”

In the tweet, Minaj also took a jab at her critics and asked her fans to “keep reppin me, do it til da death of me.”

Earlier in July, the singer had revealed that she’s pulling out a concert in Saudi Arabia, a first in history, to voice support to women’s rights, gay rights and freedom of expression.

Nicki Minaj also cancelled her appearance at the BET Experience Concert earlier this year.

Minaj recently told listeners of her “Queen Radio” show that she and boyfriend Kenneth Perry had applied for a marriage license and would be wed in “about 80 days.”

Onika Tanya Maraj, known professionally as Nicki Minaj, is a Trinidad and Tobago-born rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, and model.

She was born on December 08 in Saint James, Port of Spain, and raised in Queens, New York City.

She gained public recognition after releasing the mixtapes Playtime Is Over (2007), Sucka Free (2008), and Beam Me Up Scotty (2009).
