The International Father’s Day is being celebrated on June 21 all over the world including Pakistan.
Father’s Day celebrations began on June 19, 1910, in Washington. The idea was mooted by a woman, Sonora Smart Dodd, as she listened to a speech on International Mother’s Day.
After her mother’s death, Sonora was raised by her father, American Civil War veteran William Smart, and she wanted to tell her father how important she was to him.
The whole world is celebrating a special day for our superheroes; our fathers. The countless hardships and efforts they bear for us cannot be explained in words. Pakistani celebrities including Aisha Khan, Mawra Hussain, Hira Mani, Ahsan Khan and others have expressed love for their dads on this special day.
AISHA KHAN
Former actress Aisha Khan, now Aisha Uqbah Malik wishes her dad ‘Happy Father’s Day’ with an adorable throwback picture from her childhood.
She wrote, “Forever my number 1….. if only there were more men like you baba….this world would have been a much better place ….. i love you. Happy Fathers day- your favorite.”
In another post on Instagram Aisha also expressed love for her Father-in-law with a lovely picture from her wedding hugging her second dad.
On behalf of her 7 month old daughter, the former actress posted cute snaps of little Mahnoor with dad, Uqbah and wished him Father’s Day. She wrote, “Mahnoor following suit….7 months old and she’s already got baba wrapped around her pinky! Happy 1st Fathers Day Uqbah …as much as i hate to admit it you know you’re her absolute favorite.”

Leading actress Hira Mani shared some of her dad’s pictures from his early days. She called him as her ‘super hero’.
MAWRA HUSSAIN
Mawra, taking to Instagram, shares a picture with her loving dad from her convocation. She wrote, “Happy Father’s Day Handsome. You know I am a Fan.”
AHSAN KHAN
Actor Ahsan Khan wishes his dad on the occasion of Father’s Day with a lovely post. He wrote, “My father..my hero, the guy who taught me honesty and dedication and what family means…love you dad I’m lucky to have you as my father.”
