When Keanu Reeves refused to abuse Winona Ryder in a movie scene

Actor Keanu Reeves is a man having exceptional acting skills as well as a charming personality. In addition to this, Keanu is known for his good heart too.

Recently, American actress Winona Ryder spoke about her long-time friendship with Keanu. While giving an interview to The Sunday Times, she spoke about a past moment from the sets of Francis Ford Coppola’s 1992 film, Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Ryder was only 20 at that time and Reeves was 28. They appeared together for the first time in this movie.

She said that he faced a problem while crying in a scene for which Coppola suggested Keanu to verbally abuse her so she may cry. He also suggested other cast members join in. However, Keanu refused to abuse her.
Winona Ryder said, “I’m supposed to be crying. Literally, Richard E. Grant, Anthony Hopkins, Keanu [Reeves]… Francis was trying to get all of them to yell things that would make me cry. But Keanu wouldn’t, Anthony wouldn’t. It just didn’t work. I was, like, really? It kind of did the opposite.”

That moment caused both the actors to be in a lasting friendship for 30 years.
