Famous Pakistani singer Aima Baig has opened about her late mother and highlighted the importance of mother in everyone’s life.

During an interview in one of Pakistan’s famous morning shows, the Malang singer revealed that her beloved passed away due to cancer six years ago,

“My mother was a cancer patient and she fought with the illness for six years. She was extremely brave and never let her children feel like what she was suffering from,” told the singer.

She went on to express that,

“I saw her go through chemotherapy and losing her hair. I wish I could do something for cancer patients and save at least one life.”

The Do Bol singer also highlighted the importance of mother in everyone’s life, she said,

“Even though it’s been three years since her death, it still feels so recent and as you grow up you feel the loss more and realize the importance of having a mother in your life.”

It should be mentioned here that Aima collaborated with Mubashir Lucman, a Pakistani film director turned journalist and her uncle to raise cancer awareness. They both sang “Summer Wine” for cancer hospital Shaukat Khanum‘s charity drive.
