Fantastic Beasts 3 delays release after Johnny Depp left franchise

Veteran actor Johnny Depp left the Fantastic feast film franchise. Soon after that, the release of ‘Fantastic beasts 3’ has been delayed.

Warner Bros. has announced the new date of the movie’s release. According to the sources, it will be released on 15th July 2022. The third series of the franchise was earlier scheduled to release in Mid-November 2021.

‘Fantastic Beasts’ 3 is currently in production in the UK. The move comes after Johnny Depp announced that he was asked to leave the franchise. He was playing the role of dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald and the role is being recast. “Fantastic Beasts 3” will be directed by David Yates, who has worked on the “Harry Potter” films.

Scenes involving Depp have not been shot yet, and his departure is not expected to change the production timeline.

‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor had written the following statement while announcing his separation from the franchise:

“In light of recent events, I would like to make the following short statement.”

“Firstly I’d like to thank everybody who has gifted me with their support and loyalty. I have been humbled and moved by your many messages of love and concern, particularly over the last few days. Secondly, I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros. from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected that and agreed to that request. Finally, I wish to say this, The surreal judgment of the court in the UK will not change my fight, to tell the truth and I confirm that I plan to appeal. My resolve remains strong and I intend to prove that the allegations against me are false. My life and career will not be defined by this moment in time.
