Shah Rukh Khan’s and Gauri Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s narcotics case is far from ended.

According to a recent story in Bar and Bench, a Mumbai court has given the Narcotics Control Bureau’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) 60 more days to file a chargesheet in the cruise ship cocaine case.

The NCB had requested 90 days for the submission of the chargesheet, but only received 60.

According to the report, the NCB SIT presented numerous arguments in order to get a chargesheet filing extension. One of the many explanations given was as follows: “That the 20 accused arrested in the case are from different field and walks of life and the SIT is still in process of recording their statements; many of the accused did not turn up for investigation on time which has resulted in unintentional delay.”

The NCB SIT also said that it is still investigating Kiran P Gosavi (the man who took a viral selfie with Aryan Khan) and panch witness Prabhakar Sail, who has apparently become hostile. Sail had claimed that he had overheard a bribery conversation worth Rs 25 crore over the phone.

The Mumbai Police declared in December that they had found no proof of extortion in the drugs in a cruise case in which the celebrity youngster was arrested.

The verdict was announced today by Special Judge VV Patil under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
