Fans ridicule Justin Bieber’s Grammy Awards attire, joking that ‘he’ll grow into it’

As he walked the red carpet for the Grammy Awards, the huge costume of Justin Bieber was mocked by fans.

Fans were not keen to copy the 28-year-old singer’s unique creation by designer label Balenciaga, with the look reserved for ‘La La’ land award ceremonies.

Even if followers were willing to overlook the oversized grey suit jacket, the strange platform steel-toed boots and colourful beanie cap were simply too much for viewers, who took to social media to mock his eccentric costume.

One posted: “Reminded of the final scene in ‘Big’ when Tom Hanks turns back into a 12 year old,’ read one tweet.

Another amusing connection was David Byrne of Taking Heads and his distinctive supersized outfit. ‘Who wore the size better? Bieber of David Byrne of the Talking Heads?’ wondered one Twitter user.

Others joked that Justin’s tailor had confused up his dimensions with Shaquille O’Neal, the 7ft 1in basketball legend.

”When @SHAQ opens that UPS package and finds @justinbieber’s suit, he’s gonna be PI**ED’ joked one tweet, while another agreed, writing:

”Airline luggage mixup forces Justin Bieber to make last minute wardrobe decision and wear Shaq O’Neal’s suit to Grammys.”

Another witty follower chimed in: ”Maybe he’ll grow into it in a few years.”

Fortunately, Justin’s wife did not follow in Justin’s footsteps, opting for a silky strapless gown from Saint Laurent and a slew of Elsa Peretti’s delicate gold chain necklaces.

On the red carpet, the couple continued to show off their PDA with a long kiss.

But it wasn’t to be Justin’s night, as the Canadian singer walked home empty-handed after being nominated for an astonishing seven Grammy Awards, including the coveted Album Of The Year award.

He did, however, take to the stage with Giveon and Daniel Caesar to perform the single Peaches, which is featured on the track.

Oliva Rodrigo took home three awards, but Silk Sonic and Jon Batiste were the big winners at the Grammys this year.

At the presentation, the drivers licence singer won three awards, including Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Solo Pop Performance.

However, minutes after winning her Grammy Award, the singer broke it.

Olivia was compared to Taylor Swift, who famously refused to accept her prize in 2010.

Olivia was given all three of her awards to photograph as she entered the winners’ room to pose with them. However, she dropped one of them, and the gramophone’s top broke off.
