According to rumors, Prince Andrew is being lined up to join Queen Elizabeth at the Epsom Derby on Platinum Jubilee weekend.
The announcement comes after the duke, who resolved a sex assault allegation earlier this year, was embroiled in a new financial controversy over the weekend.
Insiders say the Queen’s disgraced son, 62, will accompany Her Majesty to the Epsom horse meet in June.
It’s his second foray into the spotlight, following his contentious major role at Prince Philip’s burial last week.
On the Australian Today Extra show, royal analyst Natalie Oliveri explored Andrew’s prospective royal homecoming at Epsom Derby.
“I think it might severely backfire for the Royal Family,” Ms Oliveri remarked.
“If Prince Andrew does join his mother to the Epsom Derby later this year, it will not be a good look.”
“It will undoubtedly enrage a lot of people,” she continued.
Meanwhile, the Duke has been implicated in a huge money-laundering scheme.
Nebahat Evyap Isbilen, a Turkish multi-millionaire, claims banker Selman Turk duped her out of about £40 million, with Andrew receiving £1.1 million.
