In the early days of its second week, the film, which also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu in crucial roles, has reached the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office.

Recently, allegations began circulating on the internet that the Love Aaj Kal 2 actor had increased his pay. According to an Indian media site, following the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik has increased his remuneration to Rs35-40 crore each film.

In response to the allegations, the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor refuted the fee rise reports. He said, turning to his Twitter username, “Life mein promotion hua. Increase nahi. Baseless.”

On Sunday, the Luka Chuppi star conveyed his delight to fans when his film passed the 100 crore mark.

He captioned a shot on Instagram, “100 crore wali grin (folded hands & heart emoticons) #BhoolBhulaiyaa2.”

Kartik has a number of exciting initiatives on the horizon. He’ll next be seen in Shehzada and Freddy.
