Mehwish Hayat and Samina Ahmed’s surprise appearance at the red-carpet premiere of ‘Ms. Marvel’ took the internet by storm.

On Thursday evening in Los Angeles, USA, the much-anticipated series Ms. Marvel premiered.

The cast and crew of the series, which is the first in the Marvel brand to feature a Muslim superhero, arrived at the El Captain Theatre in Los Angeles in style.

The series’ primary performers and creators, as well as Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat and veteran TV star Samina Ahmed, walked the red carpet at the star-studded launch event.

While the producers remained tight-lipped about Hayat and Ahmed’s involvement and character in the series, photos from the beautiful night went viral.

The actress from The Load Wedding looked lovely in a royal blue gown with a black sequined bodice.

Ahmed, on the other hand, wore a silk sari in black and antique gold. She finished off her ensemble with traditional earrings and a black clutch.

While neither of the females were featured in the teaser or the official cast list for the show, they were photographed at the premiere with the rest of the cast.

Ms Marvel co-creator Sana Amanat and Marvel dynamo Victoria Alonso were also in attendance, as was Oscar-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

Ms Marvel will premiere on Disney+ on June 8, and Pakistani fans will be able to see the show in theatres on June 16 (episodes 1 and 2), June 30 (episodes 3 and 4) and July 14 (episodes 3 and 4). (episodes 5 and 6).

The cast includes Aramis Knight, Lintz, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Mohan Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Bucha, Zenobia Shroff, Yasmeen Fletcher, Travina Springer, Laurel Marsden, Laith Nakli, Khan and Azhra Usman.
