Piers Morgan accuses Amber Heard of ‘playing the victim’ after she complained the coverage of her trial against Johnny Depp on social media was not ‘fair.’

The Aquaman actress sits down for her first TV interview since Depp won the defamation case after a six-week court battle, and she explained how the trial was debated online.

‘Even someone who is certain I am deserving of all this anger and hostility, even if you think I’m lying, you couldn’t look me in the eye and tell me you think there’s been a fair portrayal on social media,’ Amber, 36, said in a preview for an interview with Savannah Guthrie.

“You cannot tell me that you think this has been fair.”

Piers, who has been outspoken both during and after the trial, has now commented to the teaser footage, saying: ‘The jury didn’t read any of the social media material; they listened to the evidence and concluded she was lying.’

‘I believe it is past time for Ms. Heard to quit playing the victim,’ says the author.

Amber also stated in the video that she did not ‘blame’ the jury for their decision, adding, ‘I don’t blame them.’ I am aware of the situation. He’s a well-liked character, and many people believe they know who he is. He’s an amazing performer.’

‘Johnny Depp’s legal team blanketed the media for days after the verdict with countless comments and interviews on television, and Depp himself did the same on social media,’ a spokesman for Heard said in a statement.

‘Ms. Heard was just responding to their hostile behavior last week, and she did so by expressing her thoughts and feelings, most of which she was not permitted to do on the witness stand.’

Piers Morgan earlier hailed the ruling as a ‘total slam dunk triumph for Johnny Depp’ and a ‘wipeout for Amber Heard’ on Piers Morgan Uncensored, adding that it was a ‘full vindication’ for the Edward Scissorhands actor.
