Javed Sheikh, a controversial Pakistani actor and director, said on Thursday that the government’s recent announcement of tax relief for filmmakers will help the sector. Which was about to take off with the creation of extraordinary films.
Speaking about it, he praised and dubbed “amazing” the government’s incentives for the film sector. Moreover, he said that importing high-quality machinery would benefit investors and producers. That will ultimately improve the calibre of drama and film production.
“Pakistani film industry is reviving and there is no doubt that its future is quite bright,” he said. While pointing out the recent movies produced by the industry. Which got overwhelming response from across the globe, especially in terms of their quality.
He claimed that although the incentives for the film sector were announced late, they were timely.
He revealed information about his upcoming projects and said that the Pakistani movie “Quad-e-Azam Zindabaad” would be released on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. “Dehli Gate” and “Money back guarantee” were two additional movies in production.
For the unversed, The government has announced plans to develop the first-ever medical insurance programme for artists. As well as to establish a Film Finance Fund with an annual budget of one billion rupees.
