King Charles III won’t get to wear the crown by summer 2023
The coronation of King Charles III is still months away. He will...
According to trusted sources, King Charles III does not desire a lavish coronation spectacle in view of the current housing crisis in Great Britain.
The crown will be officially bestowed upon Charles, who succeeded to the British throne on September 8, 2022, following the passing of his mother Queen Elizabeth II.
King Charles, according to a source, wants a less elaborate celebration than his mother’s coronation, which famously cost roughly £1.57 million in 1953, or £46 million now.
The insider claims that King Charles’ choice is inspired by “the challenges encountered by modern Britons,” as the UK faces a historic crisis in the cost of living.
Charles wants his coronation to “remain proper and loyal to the long-held traditions of the past,” the insider continued, “but also to be representative of a monarchy in a modern world.”
