Ellen Star Sophia Grace is expecting her first baby

Sophia Grace Brownlee is expecting her first child. She rose to prominence in 2011 after performing a cover of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show alongside her cousin Rosie McClelland.

Sophia Grace, 19, announced her pregnancy on YouTube on October 22, standing in front of a backdrop of pink and blue balloons.

Today is my 21st week of pregnancy, and the reason I waited so long is because I always want to make sure that everything is safe and healthy.

The 19-year-old stated that she recently had her 20-week ultrasound, during which a complete scan of the foetus’ anatomy is performed, and that “thank God, everything was great.”

Sophia Grace, who told E! News in December 2012 that she had a boyfriend and has been in a relationship with him for the past two years, acknowledged in a YouTube video that her pregnancy announcement will “shock” many of her followers.

“I was very shocked when I first found out,” she said. “I got used to it now and I’m super, super happy about it and I can’t wait to share this journey with you guys and definitely have a lot of different content from what I usually have.”

Sophia Grace stated that she is aware of her child’s gender and will reveal it in the future.  “I am going to do a gender reveal for you guys in a separate video,” she stated. “So you can expect to see that soon on my channel, so make sure you watch out for that.”

Sophia Grace remembers feeling “very nauseous for a long period” towards the beginning of her pregnancy and stated that the feeling “sometimes returns.”

She displayed her “not too large” baby bump and recalled the excitement of hearing her baby’s heartbeat for the first time during a 17-week ultrasound.

She stated, “That was literally so cool because it’s like, mad to think that there’s literally another like, life inside of you.” “So that was super cool.”
