Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, an upcoming series on AMC Networks, has now received a new teaser trailer that reveals the series’ new premiere date.

According to the new 30-second teaser, the first two episodes of Mayfair Witches will premiere on January 8, 2022, with additional episodes airing weekly.

The show was initially scheduled to debut on January 5. The series will air on AMC and will also be accessible on AMC+ for streaming.

Alexandra Daddario, Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, and Jack Huston feature in movie. Annabeth Gish, Beth Grant, Erica Gimpel, and Jen Richards are among the show’s recurring cast members.

The new teaser is brief but tantalizing, teasing a lively, dramatic horror thriller series in the spirit of American Horror Story.

The teaser begins with a distraught woman who appears to be pregnant standing on the brink of a multi-story mansion, before cutting to a group of women performing some sort of rite.

The women engaged in the ceremony serve as the backdrop of the teaser, against which additional terrifying images flash. During the teaser, the phrase “In A World Full of Secrets, She Is the Key” appeared on-screen.

Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford, who also directed the pilot episode, created Mayfair Witches. Sarah Cornwell, Michael Goldbach, Lindsey Villarreal, Michael Uppendahl, Axelle Carolyn, Sean Reycraft, and Mary Angelina Molina are among the other series directors.

Spalding and Ashford are writers on the series as well. The executive producers of the show are Spalding, Ashford, Uppendahl, Jeff Freilich, and Mark Johnson. The production began in New Orleans in May and concluded in September.

The planned television series is based on Anne Rice’s best-selling novel trilogy Lives of the Mayfair Witches. The trilogy consists of The Witching Hour (1990), Lasher (1993), and Taltos (1994). Rice also famously authored the bestselling novel series The Vampire Chronicles, which includes Interview with the Vampire and Queen of the Damned.

Several characters from The Vampire Chronicles also feature in the volumes titled The Lives of the Mayfair Witches. On October 2, AMC began airing an adaptation of Interview with the Vampire as a television series.
