Laura Prepon, who starred in That ’70s Show, will appear in more than simply the upcoming That ’90s Show on Netflix.

On January 19, the new series, which stars the actress, will make its debut. The actress confirmed on Instagram that she has been hired to direct episodes of the new show.

A comprehensive trailer for the new Netflix series, which teases both recognisable characters and brand-new ones coming to Point Place, was just revealed.

The teaser also has special cameos by numerous adored That ’70s Show characters, including Prepon’s Donna, Topher Grace’s Eric Forman, Mila Kunis’ Jackie Burkhart, Ashton Kutcher’s Michael Kelso, and Wilmer Valderrama’s Fez, among the show’s new group of youngsters.

Additionally, Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith agreed to reprise their roles as Eric’s parents, Kitty and Red Forman, and they will take centre stage throughout the season’s ten episodes.

Prepon spent some time behind the camera even though she won’t be playing the lead like she did on That ’70s Show; nevertheless, it is currently unknown how many episodes of the series she has directed.

“So excited for the #That90sShow team!” Prepon tweeted something. “You’ll love this next generation & of course @debrajorupp & @therealkurtwoodsmith are amazing! Thrilled to not only step into Donna’s shoes again (I’ve missed her!) but also to direct episodes, as well.”

Prepon has directed three episodes of Orange Is the New Black and the 2011 TV movie Neighbros, so That ’90s Show is hardly her first directorial gig.

The sitcom That ’70s Show, which followed the lives of six adolescents growing up in Point Place, Wisconsin, in the 1970s, ended 17 years before to the start of the spinoff.

That 90s Show will investigate what it was like for six young adults growing up in the 1990s using the same concept. The water tower, the Formans’ home, and especially their basement will all be major plot points as they were in the original eight-season television series.

Leia (Callie Haverda), Donna and Eric’s daughter, Jay (Mace Coronel), Jackie and Kelso’s son, Gwen (Ashley Aufderheide), and Nate (Maxwell Donovan), as well as Nate’s fiancée Nikki (Sam Morelos), and their friend Ozzie, are the main characters of the programme (Reyn Doi).

The That ’70s Show alums Leo played by Tommy Chong and Bob Pinciotti played by Don Stark also made two further appearances in the teaser.
