Season 5 midseason finale of Paramount+’s neo-western series Yellowstone has been scheduled to air on New Year’s Day, rather than on Sunday, December 25, viewers of the show won’t have to worry about missing an episode on Christmas.

On November 13, the fifth season’s two-hour special event on the Paramount Network made its debut. The show has since continued to air brand-new episodes every Sunday.

The series’ eighth episode and midseason finale will both be named “A Knife And No Coin” and will air next. For anyone who might wish to watch the show throughout the holiday season, Paramount will be running a Holiday Marathon that includes not only Yellowstone but also the other prequel series 1883 and 1923, which are also part of the universe created by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan. On Christmas Day, the marathon will begin at 10 a.m. ET/PT.

One of the most lauded and well-liked TV series, Yellowstone’s fifth season debuted to strong ratings. The series’ most recent season premiere on the Paramount Network attracted 12.1 million viewers, surpassing the eagerly anticipated HBO launch of House of the Dragon.

Sheridan has worked on a number of projects for Paramount+, some of which include the three series set in the Yellowstone universe. Other programmes include Land Man, Tulsa King, Bass Reeves, Mayor of Kingstown, and Lioness.

Yellowstone, a television series co-created by Sheridan and John Linson, centres on John Dutton (Kevin Costner) and the rest of the Dutton family, owners of the biggest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States known as the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch (also known as The Yellowstone).
