Shawn Mendes 24-year-old musician posted a photo of himself taking a cold water dip to Instagram on Sunday with the remark, “MERRY CHRISTMAS.”

Someone said, “He’s getting undressed, what are you doing?” behind the camera.

The “Stitches” singer showed up wearing black boxer briefs, a bear-themed sweatshirt in tan and brown, and black boots.

He hunched his shoulders and took a big breath before stripping down to his boxer briefs and stepping courageously into the water, which was obviously chilly. Mendes stated before jumping in, “I’m going under.” He then shouted, “Whoo, it’s freezing!” as he whipped his head out of the water. Before leaving, Mendes and his companion submerged their heads one more time. The singer eventually got to his feet and made his way to the bank, saying again, “That’s extremely cold.”

I can’t feel a thing, he murmured as he put his hands on his hips. This was incredibly fantastic, he continued as he changed into his clothing. Before the video concluded, he grinned and gave a thumbs-up to the camera. Mendes may have been elsewhere, but the water appeared chilly. The foliage is barren, and in addition to the ice on the lake, there was snow on the riverbank. Mendes made the decision to stop touring earlier this year in order to focus on his mental health.

Mendes recently provided Lyle’s voice in the Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile adaption produced by Sony.

In order to portray the tale of Lyle, a lizard who lives in a home in New York City and assists the Primm family with chores while also playing with the children, Mendes teamed up with Javier Bardem and Constance Wu.

Mendes previously remarked about his experience working on the movie, “What was very fantastic was that Lyle as a character solely sings, so I felt really comfortable playing his part.”

Added he, “Because I relate to his tale and character so much, I was able to do what I do best and it seemed natural. It was a no-brainer and such a wonderful change of pace when I was asked to contribute to the music for the adaptation of such a famous book.”
