When it comes to Terrifier 3, a prequel confirmed and promised by Damien Leone, the writer and director of the first two Terrifier movies, the third time will prove to be more successful than the charm. Now, thanks to Leone’s official Twitter, horror fans have some hints about the intended mood and objectives for Terrifier 3.

On December 26, Leone revealed one of his primary objectives for Terrifier 3 on Twitter “is to recreate the spooky atmosphere from the first Terrifier short film. I’m still proud of the very eerie mood that was created by that.

If all goes according to plan, part 3 of Terrifier will be the scariest one yet.” The short movie Leone is referring to is All Hallows’ Eve, a direct-to-DVD film that is discovered by a babysitter and the two children she is watching.

After a night of trick-or-treating, the babysitter finds a film in one of the children’s Halloween bags, and as people are naturally curious, they must watch weird videotapes, so they do. The video shows Art the Clown, a violent clown, doing what he does best (what else?).

In response to a fan’s question on Twitter about if he would attempt to top the “bedroom scene” from Terrifier 2 after hearing this news, Leone replied, “Of course.”

Everyone who has seen Terrifier 2—and even those who haven’t—has probably heard of the notorious bedroom scene, in which Allie runs into her bedroom to try to get away from Art the Clown.

She is cornered by Art, who then literally breaks her down in a fairly horrific manner. As Art tortures, kills, and leaves the victim as a grisly exhibition for her mother to find, we witness her suffering, feel her suffering, and hear every scream.

People could question whether such a graphic scene was required, but fans of the Terrifier series watch the films for Art the Clown’s hilarious and bloody antics, when he saws someone in half with a hacksaw as she is hanged upside down.

Fans might wonder how the Terrifier 2 bedroom scene can be topped after seeing such hilariously horrific scenes, but we’re looking forward to it.

You may watch All Hallows’ Eve on Tubi if you want to see Art the Clown go on one of his deadly rampages. The horror movie streaming service SCREAMBOX offers Terrifier and Terrifier 2.
