‘The Menu’ announces release dates for Digital, Blu-ray, and DVD
'The Menu' will be released on digital, Blu-ray, and DVD in first...
‘The Menu’ will debut on January 3 on HBO Max. The delicacy starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Fiennes, and Nicholas Hoult that initially enticed viewers upon its premiere in November has quickly made its way to both the streaming platform and a digital distribution on the same day.
On January 17, the movie will be released on Blu-ray and DVD, so if you’re expecting to own a physical copy with silver plating, don’t waste your time.
The dark comedy, which serves as a warning to all foodies, follows Taylor-Margot Joy’s and her boyfriend Tyler (Hoult) as they embark on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to a stunning coastal island where they will take a seat at a table and savour a meal prepared by one of the world’s top chefs, Julian Slowik (Fiennes).
The couple will participate in what will turn out to be a terrible adventure, packed with murder and insanity, along with a wild ensemble of horribly affluent clients.
In the Mark Mylod-directed movie, Hong Chau plays Elsa, Judith Light plays Anne Liebbrandt, Reed Birney plays Richard Liebbrandt, Janet McTeer plays Lillian Bloom, and John Leguizamo plays Richard Liebbrandt.
The Searchlight Pictures movie, a scathing and humorous look at everything high-end eating, received largely favourable reviews, especially regarding the actors and writing.
Mylod, who is well-known for contributing his directing talents to television programmes like Game of Thrones, Shameless, and Succession, delivered The Menu as his most famous film debut to date.
The screenplay was written by the comedic writing team of Seth Reiss and Will Tracy using Tracy’s original idea for the plot. The Menu has a production crew made up of some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Adam McKay (Don’t Look Up), Will Ferrell (the Anchorman series), and Betsy Koch, in addition to a star-studded call sheet (Vice).
The Menu, a true homage to the service sector, went above and above to create the ideal food-obsessed production with a touch of horror.
While you might want to get an enormous takeout order and settle in to watch the feature, we’ll go ahead and let you know that some of the less appetising parts might make you queasy. The film’s Twitter account shared a still of Taylor-Joy appearing utterly terrified at whatever course is in front of her to commemorate the big HBO Max premiere.
