Amazon may be home to the animated versions of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the DC Universe.

Warner Bros. Television Group Chairman Channing Dungey discussed the studio’s future animation aspirations at Content London.

According to a Deadline story, Dungey discussed at Content London how Warner Bros. Discovery is considering placing its animation on streaming services other than HBO Max. “With animation, we used to be about staying in-house, but now we are doing it on different platforms,” Dungey explained.

“HBO Max is the first stop, but we are in the process of closing a big deal with Amazon featuring DC branded content in animation.”

HBO Max has been the streaming home for new Young Justice and Harley Quinn episodes, which it inherited from the DC Universe streaming service.

Following the merger of the two companies, Warner Bros. Discovery made several cutbacks to the animation on HBO Max.

Young Justice was cancelled after its fourth season, according to reports in August. That same month, it was announced that the anticipated animated series Batman: Caped Crusader would not be produced by HBO Max.

The series, meanwhile, is being shopped to other streaming platforms such as Apple TV+, Netflix, and Hulu. Bruce Timm, director of Batman: The Animated Series, Matt Reeves, and J.J.

Outside of the DC Universe, Warner Bros. Discovery has also made animation cuts. The studio also announced the cancellation of Scoob! : Holiday Haunt on the same day that the live-action Batgirl film was cancelled.

The film was a prequel to Scoob!, which was set to be released on HBO Max in 2020. Despite the fact that the picture was cancelled in August, production resumed and the film was completed in early November.
