Lisa Marie Presley seemed shaky while walking the red carpet at the 2023 Golden Globes Just two days before she passed away from a heart collapse.

The 54-year-old appeared to need Jerry Schilling, a close friend of her late father Elvis Presley, to hold onto her during an Extra interview with Billy Bush.

She placed her right arm over Schilling’s and said, “I’m going to grasp your arm.”

The singer continued to compliment Austin Butler for portraying the King of Rock in such a “spot on” and “genuine” way, but viewers couldn’t help but note that her speaking was slower than normal and that she appeared a little “frail.”

One commenter wrote, “She looks very underweight here and her sadness is so clear,” pointing out that Lisa has been struggling ever since her son Benjamin committed suicide in 2020.

Another person added, “Look how she clutched Jerry’s arm, I assume she’s not well here, praying for LMP.”

Her appearance was described as “so fragile but cohesive” by a third person. Fans reacted similarly to another video from that evening that was uploaded to TikTok.

Despite Butler and Schilling’s and Lisa Marie’s assistance, Lisa Marie was spotted finding it difficult to descend a flight of stairs.

The vocalist who performed at the awards ceremony where Butler won Best Actor was taken to the hospital after suffering a heart arrest.

While she was in an induced coma, a temporary pacemaker was implanted. After paramedics performed CPR and gave Lisa Marie epinephrine, her mother, Priscilla Presley, was seen leaving for West Hills Hospital.

Invoking “privacy” and “prayers,” Priscilla, 77, said at the time, “My dear daughter Lisa Marie was brought to the hospital. She’s currently getting the best treatment. We ask that you pray for her and our family.

We acknowledge the prayers from all over the world and request discretion at this time. She tragically disclosed her daughter’s death a short while after.

She told the Associated Press in a statement, “It is with heartbreaking news that I must announce that my darling daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most fervent, powerful, and loving woman I’ve ever met.

Riley Keough, 33, the daughter she had with her third ex-husband Danny Keough, and Harper and Finley, 14, the twin kids she had with her fourth ex-husband Michael Lockwood, are the only survivors of the “Lights Out.”
