A lawsuit alleging sexual assault against Marilyn Manson has been dropped.
The shock rocker was accused of serious physical, psychological, and sexual assault by Ashley Morgan Smithline last year; he vigorously disputed all of these allegations.
After she failed to retain a new attorney, the lawsuit was dismissed this week, according to Page Six.
Following the approval of attorney Jay D. Ellwanger’s move to withdraw, Smithline was compelled to select a new representative by December 5, 2022.
The lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice as a result of the model’s failure to comply with this requirement, leaving the door open for a future reopening.
Howard King, the lawyer for Manson, issued the following comment to the publication: “We applaud and commend Ashley Smithline for dismissing her claims against Brian Warner without asking for or receiving anything in return.
“Ms Smithline has refused to be manipulated by others who are trying to pursue their own agendas against Mr Warner. We wish her well and will continue to work to assure that a significant price will be paid by those who have tried to abuse our legal system.”
Smithline claims the 54-year-old rock star, whom she first met in 2010, sexually raped, bit, whipped, and slashed her during their two-and-a-half-year on-and-off relationship, and claims she “survived a monster.”
She further said that anytime she “p***** him off,” he would send her to a glass, soundproof chamber known as “the bad girls’ room,” and that he would pierce her as she slept.
