Nick Jonas was concerned that premature baby Malti wouldn’t “make it”

• When Malti Jonas was born “very” early, Priyanka Chopra feared that she wouldn’t “make it.”
• But Chopra told the magazine that the young child “looks like Nick.”
• The former pageant queen also wants to keep quiet about her and Malti’s “medical past.” 

Malti Jonas was born as a premature baby, and Priyanka Chopra feared that she wouldn’t “make it” for her and Nick Jonas.

The actress disclosed in her Thursday-published British Vogue cover story that a surrogate mother carried the Jonas Brothers member and her during the six-month pregnancy before giving birth in January 2022.

“I was in the [operating room] when she came out,” Chopra, 40, recalled of her baby girl. “She was so small, smaller than my hand.”

The former “Quantico” star continued by praising NICU nurses for carrying out “God’s mission.” I don’t know how they even located what they needed [in her small body] to intubate her, the woman gushed.

In May 2022, Chopra and Jonas announced to their Instagram fans that their “badass” child had left the hospital, where they had “spent every day” with their newborn.

While the couple is “cautious” about displaying their daughter’s face and constantly masks her features with emojis, they continue to post updates about their daughter’s existence on social media.

But Chopra told the magazine that the young child “looks like Nick.”

However, she did admit that surrogacy was an “essential” decision for their family. The former pageant queen also wants to keep quiet about her and Malti’s “medical past.”

“I experienced medical issues. Chopra said, “I’m really grateful I was in a position where I could do this. My surrogate is so sweet, kind, wonderful, and humorous.

The new mother still harbors residual worries about being a “NICU Mommy,” despite the fact that she and the “Jealous” singer, 30, celebrated Malti’s birthday earlier this month.

The “White Tiger” actress acknowledged that she had “high stakes” as a parent but said that she will eventually “shed” her worries.

As an illustration, Chopra stated, “The first time she got a substantial bite [of food], she gagged and I feared I had killed her. I get a lot of help from [my parents and in-laws] through this.
