Noah Schnapp, a star of “Stranger Things,” is gay.

The 18-year-old actor released a humorous TikTok on Thursday, telling his 31.4 million followers that before he had the confidence to come out to them, his loved ones were already aware of his sexual orientation.

He commented above the selfie-style video, “When I finally informed my friends and family I was a guy after being afraid in the closet for 18 years, all they replied was ‘we know.'”

The University of Pennsylvania freshman was seen on camera for eight seconds mouthing the words, “You know what it never was? That grave. Never was it that serious? In all honesty, it won’t ever be that serious.

The actor who plays Will Byers in the Netflix series captioned the picture, “I guess I’m more similar to will than I anticipated.”

The teen acknowledged in July 2022 that Schnapp’s character was gay and that he did love Mike, confirming earlier viewer speculation that he was a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.

In the comments section of Schnapp’s video, there was a ton of support, with many supporters commenting things like, “I’m very proud of you.” Greetings, 3,” We love you, “Slay,” “SO HAPPY FOR YOU,” “THE SCREAM I JUST LET OUT,” “NOAH UR ICONIC,” and “Not you coming out for you AND Will.”

One particularly nice comment read, “Can we all respect that Noah just came out to the whole world and recognize how much courage it takes to do so when youre a literal superstar.

Even some of the Netflix star’s admirers praised the announcement, with one adding, “One of these days I might have the courage.”

While some TikTok users were in complete disbelief, others insisted they “knew it” as well.
