Before getting married, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai collaborated on the movies Kuch Naa Kaho (2000) and Dhai Akshar Prem Ke (2000). (2003). A few years later, they started dating, and on Valentine’s Day of 2007, they declared their engagement. On April 20, 2007, the couple exchanged vows in a small ceremony at the previous Bachchan home, Prateeksha. The actor once discussed how becoming married to Aishwarya improved his life.

Aishwarya once referred to Abhishek as “a well-mannered, chivalrous youngster and a knight in shining armor” when he was younger. He turns 47 on February 5. The actor admitted to talk show presenter Oprah Winfrey on her broadcast that he proposed to Aishwarya Rai while they were touring New York to promote Guru (2007). But after getting married, they only collaborated in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan (2010). Aaradhya Bachchan, their 11-year-old daughter, is also their child.

The actor previously discussed how his wife supported him after they got married in an old interview “I now have a confidence I never had before thanks to her. I believe that most males will concur with this. My sister, who got married a long time ago and is very protective of me, is the baby of the family. I wasn’t actually blamed for anything. However, after getting married—and this simply came naturally—I realized I wanted to be responsible for this person, to care for and protect her.”

Additionally, the actor had stated that he did not view marriage as a concession. Being married to her and having her in his life were “of more value and happiness” to him than anything he could compromise on, he had said.

Aishwarya last appeared in Mani Ratnam’s historical drama PS – 1 in a dual role as queens Nandini and Mandakini Devi. The second installment of the Chola dynasty tale, which is based on the classic Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan, will be released in theaters on April 28.

For Breathe: Into the Shadows’ second season on Prime Video, Abhishek made a comeback. Along with Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur, he also had a role in the comedy Dasvi last year. He plays a coach to Saiyami Kher, who plays a cricket player in R Balki’s Ghoomer.
