We’ll receive plenty of exciting news as Deadpool 3 enters production, particularly during the casting stage, which is currently taking place.

The threequel is a must-see because it features Ryan Reynolds reprising the lead role and Hugh Jackman’s eagerly anticipated return as Wolverine.

However, more names will be added. Emma Corrin has joined the cast, according to Reynolds, who also produces the film, who announced this on Twitter today.

Corrin gained notoriety for her role as the young Princess Diana of Wales in the Netflix sensation The Crown.

Corrin received a tonne of praise for their portrayal of the real-life icon, and they were nominated for the part at the Emmys, Critics’ Choice, Screen Actors’ Guild, and other awards. There is no denying Corrin’s talent, and we can’t wait to see what they will bring to the X-Men series.

Reynolds did not specify in his post which character Corrin will portray or whether the actor will portray a human or a mutant.

We’ll have to wait a little longer to find out, but given that principal photography for the film is about to begin, we’ll probably learn that information sooner rather than later.

Since they appeared in a few episodes of DC’s Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler, Corrin is no stranger to the world of superheroes either. Corrin recently appeared in the dramas My Policeman, starring Harry Styles, and Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

Deadpool 3’s production received some updates from Jackman himself last week. The Tony Award winner and nominee for the Academy Award admitted that he is working hard to get back into Wolverine shape because the upcoming film has a late 2024 release date. According to reports, the actor will train for the fan-favorite role for up to six months.

Shawn Levy, who collaborated with Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project, will helm Deadpool 3. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin (Bob’s Burgers), who both won Emmys for writing the screenplay, have the difficult task of living up to the already extremely high expectations of the fans for the film.

Since the first two Deadpool films managed to gross over $700 million worldwide each—impressive sums for R-rated movies—Marvel Studios has high hopes for the film as well.

After Disney acquired 20th Century Studios in 2019, this will be the first Deadpool film to debut under the Marvel Studios banner.
