In a new “short and true story,” Jessica Simpson recently disclosed that she hooked up with a “huge movie star” in order to satisfy a “teenage desire.”

Because Simpson wrote a doozy and it can’t resist a juicy celebrity blind item, we’re speculating. Mark Wahlberg is the leading candidate based on the hints provided in Simpson’s story, “Movie Star: They Always Say They’re Single.”

When Simpson, now 42, was on a break from her future ex-husband, Nick Lachey, she claims she first met the mystery man at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.

The singer described the unidentified man to readers, saying, “He was undressing me with his eyes.”

Simpson said that the unidentified man was dressed in a T-shirt and pants. Wahlberg, who attended the performance that year, sported a T-shirt and jeans.

Additionally present at the performance were the actor’s Will Smith, Will Ferrell, Andy Dick, Christopher Walken, Jamie Foxx, and Johnny Knoxville (with whom Simpson has previously claimed to have had an emotional affair).

According to Simpson, the unnamed actor knew her trainer. Now 51 years old, ripped Wahlberg is renowned for his workouts.

Additionally, the “Ted” star was already well-known in 2001 and might have been a crush of Simpson’s growing up. Wahlberg, then known as Marky Mark and a member of the Funky Bunch, made headlines in 1992 when he and Kate Moss appeared in a shirtless Calvin Klein advertisement.

He starred opposite Reese Witherspoon in the popular thriller “Fear” in 1996. Simpson claimed that she ended up meeting the “huge movie star” once more in 2006 at the Beverly Hills Hotel as he prepared for a different significant awards ceremony.

She claimed that’s how she found out he wasn’t single: “He texted me during the awards event.” “I soon came upon a picture of Movie Star with her on a red carpet. Never in a million years did I ever intend to be the other woman.

In that year, Wahlberg starred in Martin Scorsese’s “The Departed,” and he went to the Golden Globes with his future wife, Rhea Durham, who was expecting.

The story as told by Simpson omits any mention of a baby. Next year, when Durham wasn’t pregnant, Wahlberg joined her on the Emmys red carpet.

Unnamed A-lister, according to Simpson, persuaded her that their romance was over, but she persisted in seeing him, even paying him a visit on the set with a director “known to even the most casual movie fan.”

Although the dates are a little off, Wahlberg began filming M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Happening” in Philadelphia in August 2007, which is a short drive from New York City. According to Simpson, a friend picked her up to go to the set.

Additionally, shoe designer reported that mystery actor informed her that he discussed her with his spiritual advisor.

Wahlberg has made a lot of noise about his friendship with Father Flavin, a Boston priest whom he believes saved him from the negative aspects of fame.

When Simpson began to feel “like a call girl” who was only there “to have sex” with an unnamed celebrity, she said she ended the relationship.

She wrote, “I didn’t care if he was the embodiment of my youthful desire; this was not a decision that same girl, my younger self, would be proud of.”

“I will tell you this… he is still a Hollywood star,” Simpson said to the unidentified man. In addition to his numerous other endeavors, Wahlberg, who is married, will soon appear in “The Six Billion Dollar Man.”

After getting married in July 2014, Simpson and former NFL player Eric Johnson welcomed son Ace in 2013 as well as daughters Maxwell and Birdie in 2012 and 2019, respectively.

Four children—Ella, 19, Michael, 16, Brendan, 14, and Grace, 13—belong to Wahlberg and Durham.
