 Judd Apatow made a crude joke about Tom Cruise’s height. The 55-year-old producer of Anchorman, who on Saturday hosted the DGA for a fourth time, made jokes about Cruise’s risky on-camera exploits.

“The visual effects in [Top Gun:] Maverick were top notch I could not even see the stack of phone books Tom Cruise stood on to access the flight controls,” Judd quipped. You can not tell how short he is from a 100-story building, which is why he frequently jumps from tall structures. He does not want somebody next to him for scale, which is why he always stands alone while he is on an aero plane wing, the speaker added.

He only seemed to be terrified of co-parenting and medications, which astonished the crowd.

“Do you think if Tom Cruise took antidepressants he’d be like, ‘I’m not jumping off of a fucking motorcycle on a cliff? Why do I even work, I’m rich.’”
