The NBA player, who has had several affairs with the reality TV personality and fathered a child with Maralee Nichols, posted a lengthy message on Instagram in memory of his late mother.

“Dearest mommy in heaven,” he began in his tribute beside a series of photos with his mother. “It has been a month since you left. I’m in disbelief. I’m in the deepest part of sorrow & grief.” He continued, “As I accept the fact that my biggest supporter/superhero is no longer here, my spirit is empty. I can not express my gratitude to you enough for always being a woman of faith and one of God’s fighters who fought back against whatever the outside world threw at us. You prayed for us continually and kept us safe. It was time for you to return home, my hero, for you had fought all the necessary wars. Tristan wrote.

He continued by saying how grateful he was that Andrea “choose me as your son” and that she made “all the sacrifices” for her sons, adding that everything she done “for ur sons will never go unnoticed or without appreciation.” Tristan then said, “I am sorry for the embarrassment & pain. I am sorry for the terrible mistakes I have made in my life. You raised me better than I could ever demonstrate.

I have also discovered that saying sorry is insufficient. Words are less powerful than deeds. I will not only apologies, though. Keep an eye out for how I want to demonstrate to the world what a fantastic boy you raised. I will demonstrate to you that even when we mess up and fall, we get back up. “You are what drives me. As I grow into the man you know you always believed in, stand with me. I will do my best to make you proud, I swear! He went on.

Tristan also pledged to look after his epileptic brother Amari in the letter, writing that he would “do anything in the world to make sure he is well.” After having a heart attack, Andrea passed away last month. After the horrific event, Tristan supported the Kardashians star during his difficult days.
