Pathaan box office day 8 expected to surpass 350 crore in India

• Pathaan collects around ₹17-17.50 crore nett on its second Wednesday in Hindi at the domestic box office.

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham appear in Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan, which had a strong opening week and is still holding its own today. On its second Wednesday in Hindi at the domestic box office, the movie, which debuted on January 25, brought in about 17–17.50 crore nett.

The second Wednesday’s earnings bring the film’s total to about 348.50 net crores, well shy of the 350 crore threshold in Hindi at the domestic box office. With few movies coming out in the following two weeks, it is anticipated to keep up its strong performance.

A report on boxofficeindia.com states that there has been a dip of almost 20% since Tuesday, but several large pockets had held up exceptionally well on Monday and Tuesday and were likely adjusting on Wednesday.

In its first week, Pathaan brought in a worldwide total of 634 crore. It brought in 395 crore in gross revenue and 330.25 crore in net revenue in India. Its first week’s total overseas revenue was 239 crore.

In the UK as well, the action thriller has been doing well. Pathaan is second only to Avatar: The Way of Water in the UK with a collection of £1.9 million (British pound sterling) in just five days. In the UK, 223 sites saw the release of Pathaan, which has performed admirably thus far. Variety reports that the movie made £1.9 million overall, including last Wednesday and Thursday, and £1.4 million over the weekend (Friday through Sunday). With £3,19,000, Pathaan earned the highest opening day ever for an Indian film in the UK.

Pathaan is a world-traveling spy thriller that centers on the titular spy (Shah Rukh), who emerges from exile to prevent terrorist organization Outfit X from attacking India in a devastating way. Important roles in the movie are also played by Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana. After the 2018 film Zero, this is Shah Rukh’s first major motion picture release in four years. Additionally, it marks their fourth movie together.
