It will be the singer’s first significant film role; his real name is Abel Tesfaye; he co-wrote the screenplay with Reza Fahim, who will direct.

He will be joined in the movie by the “Wednesday” actor and the “Banshees of Inisherin” actor, according to Deadline.

The project is now under production, but neither the title nor the plot have been made public.

While Ortega and Keoghan reportedly had a number of opportunities to choose from after each of them had a successful 2022, they were both eager to take on this project as their following endeavour.

Tesfaye appeared in a minor appearance in “Uncut Gems,” but this will be his first main role in a feature film. He is also collaborating with Fahim on HBO’s “The Idol,” which the actor and “Euphoria” executive Sam Levison co-created.

The film “Saltburn,” a sequel to Emerald Fennell’s “Promising Young Lady,” will feature Keoghan next.

After assuming the lead in the Netflix original film “Wednesday,” Ortega, who had previously appeared in “You,” saw her popularity soar even higher.

She’ll be resuming her role as Tara Carpenter in “Scream VI,” which stars franchise veterans Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) and Hayden Panettiere, after the “Addams Family” spin-off series (Kirby Reed).

Despite Ortega’s earlier claims that the movie is so action-packed that viewers won’t be distracted by Neve Campbell’s absence, Neve Campbell will not be reprising her role as Sidney Prescott. She admitted that she didn’t feel “valued” by the contract she was offered.

She said: “I feel like I can’t really speak too much on that just because it’s not necessarily my character, but I will say there’s so much going on in this next one, that it’s so action-heavy and so gore-heavy that I think you’re gonna be distracted almost.”
