Fans still adore the love tale between Geet and Aditya more than 15 years after the romantic comedy Jab We Met debuted. It can only be produced once every twenty years, according to Shahid Kapoor, who starred alongside Kareena Kapoor in the Imtiaz Ali movie. Fans were spotted dancing in the theaters when the Hindi movie was rereleased earlier this month in time for Valentine’s Day.
The actor was also spotted mingling with fans in a Mumbai cinema theater as the dance tune Mauja Mauja began to play at the conclusion of the movie. Delighted admirers recorded Shahid and took photographs with him. Afterwards, he posted a video of himself chatting with moviegoers on Instagram. “Jab We Met 16 Years Later,” he wrote as the post’s caption. The actor revealed that he had been discussing collaborating on another romance movie with Imtiaz.
Shahid discussed the 2007 movie in a recent interview with Pinkvilla. He stated: “Since we recently re-released Jab We Met, many people are now asking me why I haven’t made another movie like this. Jab We Met, in my opinion, only appears once every twenty years and is not a typical movie. The majority of films in this genre are subpar, therefore finding a good script is important. Indeed, Imtiaz (Ali, the director) and I were talking about finding anything in this area once more. I wish to engage in enjoyable and exciting activity.”
The movie Jab We Met premiered on October 26, 2007, in theaters. Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon, Dara Singh, and Pavan Malhotra are also featured in the romance drama. Kareena Kapoor earned the Best Actress honor for her portrayal of Geet, and Shahid was nominated for Best Actor at the Filmfare Awards.
Shahid made his OTT debut earlier this month with the Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK and Prime Video produced serial Farzi. He plays the role of Sunny, an artist who uses fake money to keep his grandfather’s printing press from being destroyed. Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna, Regina Cassandra, and Bhuvan Arora are also featured in the drama series.
The actor also stated that he is now discussing a comedy movie with filmmaker Anees Bazmee. He also appears with Kriti Sanon in an untitled Maddock movie and Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bloody Daddy. Filming for Farzi’s second season is anticipated to start later this year.
