Sonam Kapoor wants her kids to have ‘Sonam Ahuja’ in their names

Bollywood diva Sonam Kapoor brought storm all over social media after she announced her pregnancy cradling her baby bump.

Multiple celebrities and friends showered Sonam and Anand Ahuja with love and wishes as the couple is going to welcome their first baby this fall.

Previously, during her conversation with a leading daily, the Saawariya actress had stated that she even wanted her kids to have her name Sonam Ahuja in their name and that she and her husband have thought a lot about it.

“I wanted to have the same name as my child and I wanted my child to have my name as well. For now, this was the best compromise we could come with, Anna, where our child has both our names which has nothing to do with my father, but I still have my father’s name because I love him and my progressive thoughts come from him, but I also wanted my husband’s name and he wanted my name,” she was quoted saying.

In her post on Instagram, the soon-to-be-mommy posted pictures cradling her growing baby bump while lying on the couch.

Sharing the photos, she wrote, “Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family. Who will shower you with love and support. We can’t wait to welcome you.” Sonam added the hashtags #everydayphenomenal #comingthisfall2022 with her post.

The duo got married in May 2018. Sonam is the eldest daughter of actor Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor.

Anand and Sonam live in their house in London and often visit their parents in Delhi and Mumbai, respectively.

On the work front, the talented star was last seen in the 2019 release The Zoya Factor. She then had a cameo in Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap’s AK vs AK, which was released on Netflix in 2020.
