Following the success of The Kashmir Files, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has announced his next project. He revealed his ideas for the next film, The Delhi Files, on Twitter on Friday. However the Kashmir Files became one of the most well-received post-pandemic films in India.

Vivek sent out a tweet with a snapshot of himself. “I’d like to express my gratitude to everyone who owned #TheKashmirFiles. We worked extremely hard for the past four years with the utmost honesty and sincerity. I apologise for spamming your TL (timeline), but it’s critical to raise awareness about the GENOCIDE and injustice perpetrated against Kashmiri Hindus. It’s time for me to start working on a new project.” “#TheDelhiFiles,” he stated in a follow-up tweet.

On March 11, The Kashmir Files was released across the country. In the 1990s, it illustrated the departure of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir Valley. In the film Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, and Darshan Kumaar were the leads. Despite various reviewers and authors criticising the film for its dubious politics, it performed remarkably well at the box office, grossing over 330 crore.

After numerous BJP-ruled states, including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat, exempted the film from entertainment tax, it caused a discussion among political parties.
