Karan Johar becomes ‘proud nana’ on birth of Alia Bhatt’s daughter

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who views Alia Bhatt as his godchild, is thrilled about the birth of Alia’s daughter. Hours after Ranbir Kapoor and Alia welcomed their first child on Sunday, he posted his joy on Instagram. His supporters stated that the young woman would soon be cast as the female lead in one of his Student of the Year films. Alia Bhatt’s 2012 flick Student of the Year served as Karan’s breakthrough.

On Instagram, Karan posted a photo of himself and Ranbir and Alia from their wedding in April, “My heart is full of love…. Welcome to the world baby girl… you have so much love waiting for you….. I love you @aliaabhatt and RK!! To the moon and back!!!! So this makes me a proud Nana!!!!”

Student of the Year 12 ki heroine mil gai (the female lead for SOTY 12 is here), wrote a fan in response to the post. Another person said, “Casting for Student of the Year 2044 sorted.” “Congrats Karan you have new heroine for Student of the Year 27,” another person wrote.

The question of “when will you cast baby” was also raised. Another person added, “Hello Nana Jo…princess Grandpa’s has arrived.” There was one more: “Karan is the happiest person,” it said.

Prior to Alia and Ranbir Kapoor’s April wedding, Karan had written a note for them. Sharing the same picture, he had written, “It’s days like this that we live for …where there is the most beautiful blend of family, love and absolute emotion….. overwhelmed and so full of love in my heart… my darling @aliaabhatt this is such a beautiful life step and my love and blessings go with you everywhere … Ranbir!
