Shashi Kapoor was a beloved Indian actor. His performances and excellent looks wowed the crowd. During the 1960s to 1980s, he was popular. Shashi Kapoor revived his father’s Prithvi Theatre. Late actor collaborated with Yash Chopra. The actor-director pair had era-defining hits.
After a protracted illness, Shashi Kapoor died on December 4, 2017. When he denied a National Award, the actor stunned everyone. 1961’s Dharmputra earned Shashi Kapoor a nomination. The actor didn’t accept the medal because he believed his performance was ‘insufficient’ The actor added, “I had the chance to play the role of a lifetime in the film Dharmputra, directed by Yash Chopra in 1961. I was nominated for the National Award for it, but I refused it as I felt my performance was not competent enough.”

Sammy and Rosie Get Laid, The Deceivers, Jinnah, and Side Streets are among his later films.
