Hansal Mehta responds to Twitter user who calls him shameless person

After being referred to as “a shameless person” on Twitter for creating the movie Faraaz, director Hansal Mehta reacted. The planned movie is based on the terrorist assault that happened in 2016 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, at the Holey Artisan cafe. Mahana Films, T-Series, and Benaras Media all worked together to produce the film.

The person replied on Saturday in response to Hansal’s tweet announcing the release of the trailer, “You should be ashamed of yourself. You are a shameless person. You are exploiting a horrifying tragedy for profit without asking the permission of victims family. Why don’t you make film about incidents from your own country?”

Hansal responded, sharing the article’s URL, “Hopefully this piece gives you the chance to take a more balanced perspective on the issue. Hansal had stated, as reported by the news source PTI, “Designed as a nail biting thriller that plays out over one tense night, my attempt with Faraaz has also been to shine a light on the immense courage and humanity that it takes to stand up against violence. Because standing up against bigotry and the carnage it triggers is the only way to defeat it.”

According to the report, Anubhav commended Hansal for telling the tale of the disastrous incident that startled the world. “It is a story about a hero who made a brave choice and celebrates the spirit of a young boy who stood tall for his loved ones,” the speaker continued.

Zahan Kapoor, the grandson of the late Shashi Kapoor, makes his acting debut in Faraaz. Aditya Rawal, the son of actors Paresh Rawal and Swaroop Rawal, is also a character in the movie. At the BFI London Film Festival in 2022, the movie had its global debut. The cast of the movie is completed by Juhi Babbar, Aamir Ali, Sachin Lalwani, Palak Lalwani, and Reshham Sahaani.
