Ratna Pathak Shah tries to stop Naseeruddin from controversy

•  Naseeruddin’s opinions have gotten him into problems.
• Now, Ratna, has disclosed that she makes an effort to stop him.

The actors Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah are known for being fairly frank in their beliefs. A number of occasions, Naseeruddin’s opinions have gotten him into problems, and now his wife, actor Ratna, has disclosed that she makes an effort to prevent him from making such claims.

In a recent interview, Ratna, who is currently promoting her upcoming movie Kutch Express, admitted that she does actually prevent her spouse from expressing thoughts that could lead him into trouble. “Aaj ke zamaane mein koi aa kar khada ho jayega ghar par humaare, pathar daalne (In today’s time someone will come and throw stones at our house). Anyways, it has become so difficult to get work, there are so many reasons for not getting work these days. So, one has to be sensible… but not scared, if that is possible,” she said in the interview with Siddharth Kannan.

When these opinions are revealed, there is a sense of terror that works, but Ratna was quick to add out that there also needs to be someone to call attention to the mistakes. “Darr lagta hai, but kya karein, agar duniya mein jo galat ho raha hai usko koi point out nahi karega, toh vo sudhrega kaise? We are not foolhardy, abhi tak toh naiyaa doobi nahi hai, aage dekhenge kya hoga (We get scared. But, what can we do? If there is nobody who will point out the wrong in the world, then how will things get better?… Things have not gone for the worse until now, so we will see what happens next)” she concluded.

The next film Naseeruddin Shah will appear in is Kuttey, directed by Aasmaan Bhardwaj. Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Konkona Sensharma, Radhika Madan, and Shardul Bhardwaj all appear in the movie. The following film to feature Ratna will be Kutch Express, which will be her first leading part in Gujarati cinema. She appeared in the John Abraham and Ranveer Singh films Attack and Jayeshbhai Jordaar last year. She portrayed a Gujarati mother who wanted her daughter-in-law to abort her female child in the latter. For her parts in the television series Sarabhai VS Sarabhai and movies like Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, Golmaal 3, Kapoor & Sons, and Khoobsurat, Ratna is well-known.
