The highly anticipated release of Taylor Swift’s 10th studio album, Midnights, has rocked the music industry. The 32-year-old Folklore singer has published the complete track listing of her most recent album. Previously, she had said she would reveal one song title at a time.
To the astonishment of her fans, Swift also addressed the engagement rumors about her and her long-term partner Joe Alwyn on Midnights.

With the words “All they keep asking me/ Is if I’m going to be your bride/ The only kinda lady they see/ Is a one night or a wife,” Swift launched the album with the song Lavender Haze.
She responded, “I’m damned if I do give a damn what people say/ The 1950s [crap] they want from me/ I just want to stay in that purple haze,” in response to the inquiry.
The Lover singer teased the song earlier this month on Instagram and revealed that she first came across the term “lavender haze” while watching the television show Mad Men.
“I looked it up because I thought it sounded cool,” said Swift. “And it turns out that it’s a common phrase used in the ’50s, where they would just describe being in love.”
Swift also disclosed that her connection with Alwyn especially served as the inspiration for Lavender Haze.
