Scream VI trailers have arrived, previewing the appearance of Ghostface as the murderer goes in search of Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera’s last two victims. In the follow-up, Ghostface torments Ortega and Barrera once more as sisters, and the next murdering spree occurs in New York City.

Sam (Barrera) and Tara Carpenter (Ortega), sisters, are taken to New York City in the trailer. The sisters want to start a new life distant from Woodsboro after the most recent massacre there, and the Big Apple looks like the ideal location to get away from small-town gossip. Sam is revealed to be the illegitimate child of Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich), one of the original Ghostface murders, in SCREAM, the fifth installment of the series. That made her a target for irate “Stab” fans, a fictional series based on the Woodboro killings. Sam now has a new chance at obscurity thanks to his move to New York City.

Sam and Tara’s identity won’t stay a secret for very long, though, as they quickly become engaged with another Ghostface impersonator. The sisters’ assassination is the new killer’s main priority as they attempt to complete the task. The Scream VI cast, which includes both recognizable actors and newcomers, was also unveiled in the video. In Scream 6, everyone is both a suspect and a victim at the same time, and viewers may immediately begin to speculate about who is responsible for the murders this time.

Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown return in Scream VI as Chad and Mindy Meeks-Martin, the twin siblings who overcame Ghostface in SCREAM and the nephew/niece of the enduring character Randy Meeks (Jamie Kennedy). Additionally, Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed, a survivor from Scream 4, and Courtney Cox as Gale Weathers, an investigative reporter who appears in each sequel, return in Scream VI. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), the movie’s enduring final girl, is sadly absent from Scream VI, and her absence still irks fans.

Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of ready or Not oversaw the most recent SCREAM film. While the film was still playing in theatres, a sequel to the massive box office hit SCREAM was announced. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick are once again teaming together to write the screenplay for the upcoming sequel, which will be directed by Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett, two members of the collective known as Radio Silence. Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein, and William Sherak of Project X Entertainment are in charge of producing the follow-up. Chad Villella, the third member of Radio Silence, is executive producing alongside Kevin Williamson, the film’s director, and Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre from Spyglass.
