The Flash, which will finally make its way to theatres in June, is at the center of that heroic slate. Even though the movie won’t be out for another six months, there hasn’t been any marketing for this multiverse epic. That may soon change, though, as Warner Bros. intends to show the movie’s debut teaser on February 12, 2023, during Super Bowl LVII. The new trailer will subsequently be played before Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which hits cinemas the following Friday, February 17. This information is provided exclusively by The Wrap.

This makes a lot of sense because “big game” commercials for superhero blockbusters have always been popular. To find outstanding examples of effective Super Bowl promotion, look as far back as Batman Begins from 2005 or as recently as this year’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

There is no information on what the future trailer will depict, but we’ll undoubtedly get a good idea of the overall plot of the Flash narrative. The Flash appears to be largely influenced by the Flashpoint comic narrative, based on all the marketing fans have seen so far. Barry Allen, aka The Flash, did this to prevent his mother’s murder by his bitter foe The Reverse-Flash. As a result, Barry changes the timeline of DC and finds himself locked in a version of events in which Bruce Wayne was killed, Thomas Wayne turned into a vicious Batman, and Martha Wayne changed into The Joker.

Ezra Miller’s Flash will visit Tim Burton’s Batman realm to meet Michael Keaton’s The Dark Knight, even if the Wayne family’s later involvement isn’t a part of this particular movie. Keaton provided narration for the brief preview that was displayed at DC Fandom 2021 while we watched images that were strikingly similar to the comic book panels depicting Barry rescuing his mother in Flashpoint. This was before Keaton’s renowned Batcave was seen housing several iterations of Miller’s Flash and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl.

Since that trailer in late 2021, there hasn’t been much good news about the movie as Miller’s ongoing legal crisis has tempered anticipation for The Flash in general. Additionally, it has recently been claimed that the film’s cameo appearances for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Henry Cavill’s Superman were omitted once the new Gunn era of DC began to take shape. The “Snyderverse” may be nearing its conclusion, but there is still a lot to look forward to in terms of this cosmic journey. Along with Keaton’s return, Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Batman will make a comeback in the movie. Additionally, it has been reported that WB adores the movie and that test audiences have been responding favorably to it.

Finally, Andy Muschietti, whose It duology masterfully terrified spectators in the past, helmed the movie. On June 16, 2023, The Flash bursts into theatres. You may watch the previously dubbed DCEU on HBO Max right now to catch up as we wait for the new Super Bowl trailer.
