In honor of the movie’s debut on Disney+, Marvel Studios has made the official playlist for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever available. Marvel announced on Twitter with a video of stars Lupita Nyong’o and Angela Bassett that the official soundtrack for the popular superhero movie will begin streaming exclusively on Spotify today.

The playlist will include extra content in addition to a purple progress bar with a Wakanda theme, Marvel Studios stated in the tweet. Every time listeners hear a song from the playlist, the progress bar will appear. Fans of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, which was recently honored with an Oscar nomination for Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up,” should be thrilled to hear that there will be more content released.

After Marvel Studios produced a new featurette series titled Voices Rising: The Music of Wakanda Forever to honor the movie’s soundtrack, the release of the Spotify playlist was announced. The featurette was also confirmed by the studio on Twitter. The film, in the opinion of music advisor Seni Saraki, demonstrates the development of Wakanda’s musical landscape.

The featurette, in the words of its composer Ludwig Goransson, is a mashup of noises from all across the world. Mexico, London, Los Angeles, and Lagos are the four cities where the music for the featurette was recorded. Numerous artists may be seen playing and being recorded for hours. The running time of Voices Rising: The Music of Wakanda Forever is 2 hours and 41 minutes.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the second film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series, was directed by Ryan Coogler and focused on what happened after King T’Challa passed away. When T’Challa, a brother and a son, died, Wakanda Forever followed Shuri (Letitia Wright) and Queen Ramonda as they grieved. Music played a significant role in the film’s exploration of sorrow and the various ways in which people cope with it, particularly at the moment honoring the late Chadwick Boseman as the first Black Panther during the burial of his character T’Challa. And Marvel Studios demonstrates to viewers its willingness to continue to honor culture via film with the imminent release of Voices Rising: The Music of Wakanda Forever and the publication of the official soundtrack of the film.
