Fans’ hearts never skipped a beat like they did when Michael Keaton’s Batman paused in the Ezra Miller-led The Flash Super Bowl teaser between the words “Yeah” and “I’m Batman.” Fans are happy that director Andy Muschietti’s long-awaited labour of love is finally being released. The Dark Knight with Keaton and Ben Affleck, Supergirl with Sasha Calle, and General Zod with Michael Shannon were all well-represented in the trailer. However, a recent TV commercial highlights Keaton’s portrayal of Batman more.

The commercial elaborates on the Scarlet Speedster’s dilemma in the story as he manipulates “the future and the past.” In this realm, Keaton is the Batman, and we meet two distinct Barrys from several histories. We get a clear view of the Bat cave and all of his various costumes in one frame, each of which is lined up and has a unique cowl, cape, and eye gear.

Additionally, we see Batman helping Barry and saying his famous words before the next frame shows him swooping down on the villains. It’s encouraging to see Keaton perform stunts that weren’t technically feasible in the 1990s. And last but not least, as Barry from the parallel reality exclaims, “Woah!” we also get a glimpse of his Batmobile.

How The Flash Works

In the next film, Barry is trapped in a reality where General Zod has made a comeback as a result of his attempt to save his family from an unexpected change in the future. He needs to bring a very different Batman out of retirement to “rescue the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows” because there are no superheroes to assist him. Barry’s parents Henry Allen and Nora are played by Maribel Verd, Kiersey Clemons is Iris West, Keaton and Affleck are Batman, Shannon is General Zod, and more. The Flash stars Miller in the dual roles of Barry and Iris West.

The Flash’s new trailer has energized the crowd for a film that has been dogged by issues because of its star. However, the hype is justified because Keaton, Affleck, and Shannon are all coming back and because Calle’s interesting Supergirl is giving us a taste of what’s to come. Muschietti’s work has received high praise from DC’s new co-CEO James Gunn, who has also revealed that the film will reset the DC world in order to support the studio’s new content strategy, which includes projects like Superman: Legacy and a Batman movie based on The Brave and the Bold.
