The artistic aspirations of her daughter are being supported by Bette Midler. The Beaches actress, 77, talked with news on Monday at the CDGA Awards in Los Angeles about her only child Sophie von Haselberg’s growing acting career and whether she ever given her daughter any advice.

“She wasn’t given any advice by me, but I must admit that she was in this movie. She portrays a performer from the 1970s who is doing a special in the recently released film Give Me Pity! Do you recall the specials?” Midler spoke to the media while on the red carpet to promote her most recent endeavour.

In the movie, which follows Sissy St. Claire (von Haselberg), who “graces the small screen for her first ever television special, an evening full of music and laughter, glamour and entertainment,” according to an IMDb synopsis, Midler claims that her daughter is “wonderful.” Yet Sissy’s live performance soon turns into a surreal psychedelic nightmare.

The pleased mother told news, “Now she’s wearing stuff that I would’ve worn.” “I simply asked Sophie, “Sophie, may I have that closet?” It excelled.”

When asked if it’s difficult to watch her daughter negotiate a difficult industry, Midler responded that it’s a mix of both.

“It is both and neither. I believe that everyone faces challenges in life “She spoke out. “It makes no difference if you work in business or in a different field. So difficult. It’s quite distinctive. For everyone, the past five years have been extremely difficult.”

While Midler acknowledged that she has “tried to feel empathic, try to allow the empathy in, and try to say, “Oh, we’re all in the same boat,” it’s different,” she added.

The Hocus Pocus 2 actress said, “People are ascending, people are falling. “Now I’ll let you in on a secret: Every dog has a day. Such is life.”

Midler also disclosed that she has grown loyal to her different outfits over the years in addition to her own various roles.

The actress admitted she doesn’t have a favorite item of clothing at the renowned costume event on Monday, which Christina Ricci, Angela Bassett, and Cate Blanchett all attended.

She told press, “Oh my god, no, they’re all my babies. “I have a soft spot for mermaids since they underwent an evolutionary process that saw them transform from simple forms to the silliest creatures imaginable. Oh, and so lovely.”

When does she feel most beautiful in her own eyes? Midler said, “It’s largely in my own concerts.

The ones I create for myself, she said, “because those are actually the craziest, most absurd, and most enjoyable.” Red carpet is very common, but your own program is, you know, where you speak honestly.
