Dalgona coffee-A creamy drink that is trending nowadays

Dalgona coffee has become highly popular on social media. It became a talk of the town on the internet soon after governments in different countries imposed lockdown amid coronavirus outbreak.

As people are restricted to their homes and are free of boring homework and hectic work schedules, they are trying to indulge in other activities to pass their time.

Several people learning cooking skills and in no time, they began sharing photos and posts of dalgona coffee.

It seems that people have become much obsessed with this drink. It is because it is easy to prepare. Also, everyone loves the aromatic coffee, so a creamy soothing drink is not a bad option for anyone!

The coffee is composed of four main ingredients: sugar, instant coffee, hot water, and milk. Hot milk is layered with a whip of hot instant coffee.

Dalgona coffee recipe

1 tbsp instant coffee or espresso powder
400ml/14fl oz milk
2tbsp sugar
2tbsp extreme hot water

Take a mixing bowl, add the instant coffee, sugar and hot water in it. Whip the coffee mixture until it is light brown and fluffy. You can use an electric hand-held mixer for this purpose.

Heat the milk, and divide it between two heatproof glasses. You can also take cold milk if you like. Then, pour the frothed coffee mixture on the top and smooth out with a spoon. Dalgona coffee is ready!

You can take the cocoa powder, chocolate chips, honeycomb or nuts for topping as well.
