The White House had aimed to stop the aid to Ukraine after Trump’s impeachment.

According to details, the White House attempted to stop aid to Ukraine soon after US President Donald Trump negotiated with Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky by phone.

An email from the government was released which mentioned that Trump had talked to Volodymyr Zelensky in July.

It should be remembered that Mr. Trump had demanded Ukraine’s president to investigate his political opponent-the Democrat Joe Biden in that call.

It was shown that MikeDuffey had talked to senior defense officials regarding freezing of aid to Ukraine just one and a half hours after Trump had a call with President of Ukraine in July.

A whistleblower had complained about this matter and the White House had declassified a rough transcript of the call.

In the transcript, it was mentioned that Donald Trump had demanded Zelensky to “do us a favor” and investigate Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden.

Mr. Duffey had asked that the Defense department “hold off” giving aid following the administration’s plan to review.

It was mentioned in the email, “Given the sensitive nature of the request, I appreciate your keeping that information closely held to those who need to know to execute direction.”

However, a representative of the office of management and Budget Rachel Semmel had dismissed the characterization of the email while stating to US media on Sunday.

He said, “It’s reckless to tie the hold of funds to the phone call. As has been established and publically reported, the hold was announced in an interagency meeting on July 18.”

“To pull a line out of one email and fail to address the context is misleading and inaccurate.”

Chuck Schumer, the top Democrat in the US Senate had said that the email proved a necessity for other new witnesses and evidence at President Trump’s impeachment trial

According to the foreign news agency, that phone call became a reason for Trump’s impeachment, as it proved an activity of abuse of power.

Note that the Democratic-controlled US House of Representatives had formally impeached Donald Trump on Wednesday.

The US President will face a trial in the Senate where his Republican Party has a majority.
